The Summer Festival in Winter

Here is a novel idea:  just when it starts getting really cold, bring back the memories of sweaty summer with a classic summer matsuri.

– wander round the quaint town of Akaoka
– grab a big old bit of grilled sea creature
– sink a beer
– take in some entertainment (Any bets tose bea
– marvel at the traditional Japanese way of life

But, unless you are incredibly gnarly, it is advisable to wear more than your singlet, board shorts and flip-flops!

PLACE :  AKAOKA
DATE:  DECEMBER 4th and 5th
TIME:  ALL DAY TILL 3pm

I love the kotatsus out in the street at that festival; a good way to keep warm and meet new people.
